The wood pathway through this yard is surrounded by ivy-covered arches and is lit up by overhead lights that keep the path safe, even at night.

Covering a pathway with decking typically takes a few weekends. This pathway took much more time as it is a long path.

To make it a bit easier for you how we did this job, have a look at the image. In this sample, we screwed the Sleepers on concrete as it is a material what is commonly used here on Cyprus.

If the sleepers are screwed to the concrete, it allows you to screw on the decking. Spacers and flashing tape protect sleepers from moisture and rot although, we don't have to worry that much about rotting as we don't have so much rain in compare with other European countries. Fascia boards hide exposed edges for a neater look.

The pathway what is constructed as shown in the photo is done with a different structure. Firstly they have made a proper foundation.
But the basic structure is similar.
