Tips For An Atmospheric Christmas Table
The holidays are at the door again! And what a perfect timing for creating me..LOL.. Yes, I am Mr. DIY and for all of you who came to the Homemarket shop, you have seen me. I am so excited that I have been created by Panayiota Michel and Karin van Beurden. These girls are amazing and see, how beautiful I became. They did a wonderful job. A big thank you to Panayiota and Karin and not to forget George who supported the two lovely girls. Now it's my job to give you some advice and new ideas to inspire you on your own designing and DIY skills. To be honest, I am not only working for Homemarket.com.cy but also for another company, Homeandgarden.com.cy is the website. I am working on a lot of new articles on that website and if you have questions and or suggestions, please let me know.
Now, let's see what I have in mind for you.
I am sure that you are the host during the Christmas dinner this year surrounded by family and good friends. You've probably been brainstorming about the decoration for your table. Do you have some nice ideas?.. No?... No worries. To inspire you for the holidays, I've started working on the styling of the Christmas table for you. This is just an idea. Wondering what you think about it!
This year, my own creation has been inspired by a nice table I have seen at Homemarket so as shown here in the photo. Whatever colour scheme you use, it is always nice to use the green of a Christmas tree to come back nicely with the table styling by letting beautiful fir branches run across the table like a sort of pendulum. It is also nice to use small pine twigs as a napkin ring. You can easily make this by knotting a string at both ends of the twig, which you then tie around the napkin.
And what would be a Christmas table without beautiful crockery? I have chosen a beautiful set of ceramics as shown on this image to match with the table. By choosing different prints and sizes of the plates, you create a more atmospheric table.
What about using a table runner? Are you looking for a table runner that does not exist? Take a look, for a change, at the wallpaper department from Homemarket, there are unwise nice patterns between them and the size of the wallpaper roll perfectly lends itself as a table runner! (Why not?)
You can finish off your Christmas table with atmospheric accessories such as candles and lights. Do not forget the Christmas tree, because it is and remains the showpiece of the Christmas decoration!
Whatever you do, make sure that you match all colours of the plates, glasses and cutlery and napkins and table runner. I have used grey and gold. (See images) This gives a perfect harmony and atmosphere.
