Product Description:
Due to its special formulated one-component composition, it is easy to apply and dries quickly, even in adverse weather conditions.
It presents high coverage and is suitable for direct painting in pools made of concrete or cement mortar.
It creates a strong and at the same time elastic film, which exhibits excellent behavior against UV radiation and helps maintain the good condition of the color for longer.
Due to its special composition of chlorinated rubber, it is resistant to permanent strain on the water and the growth of mold and fungi on the surface of the pool.
At the same time, it exhibits very good chemical behavior towards chlorine and chemical solutions for pools.
Technical Data:
Thinning: 5-10% with KRAFT Nitro 1100
Coverage: 8-10m2/L
Tools: Roller, brush, airless spray-gun
Dry to touch: 1-2 hours
Surface Preparation:
The surface must be dry, clean and free of dust, grease, salts, rust, loose paint and residues, blistered paint, etc.
The moisture content of the substrate must not exceed 4%.
In newly constructed pools of concrete or cement mortar, clean the surface with 10% hydrochloric acid solution, wash with soapy water and let it dry completely.
Apply at least 28 days after construction.
In already painted pools, scrub with sandpaper or remove completely the old paints, with solvents or mechanical means to ensure the proper adhesion of the paint.
For filling gaps, cracks or other damaged surfaces, use KRAFT STRONG REPAIR.
For protection against negative pressure, use the KRAFT HYDROGUARD FLEX system, reinforced with the alkali-resistant KRAFT HYDROGUARD NET.
Application Instructions:
Before and during the application, stir thoroughly with a low RPM stirrer, until complete homogenization.
Apply 2 coats of KRAFT POOL CARE™ for the best result. Do not apply to large thickness (>120mm) because this may cause swelling, blisters and or premature detachment of the paint.
Tools: brush, roller or airless spray.
Dilution:
1st coat: 5-10% with KRAFT Nitro 1100
2nd -3rd coat: 0-5% with KRAFT Nitro 1100
Cleaning: Clean the tools and the products’ residues, thoroughly with KRAFT Nitro 1100, immediately after use.
Dry to Touch: 1-2 hours at 25ºC and 50% relative humidity.
Dry to Recoat: 24 hours.
Allow to cure for 7 days prior to fill the pool with water.
Avoid applying when the temperature is below 10°C or over 35°C and relative humidity is over 65% or in cases of expected precipitation in the next 4-6 hours.
Avoid applying under direct sunlight.
All pool paints will eventually fade in color when exposed to chlorine. Maximum colorfastness can be achieved by maintaining proper chemical balances. Do not over-chlorinated.
