Methods of application: Covered application - In bait stations. Commercially available bait stations (ready or refillable) are permitted for use against mice.
For rats and mice the bait should be provided packaged, containing the amount of bait required for a bait site (either rat or mouse). The whole package should contain a maximum of 1.5 kg of bait. Bait stations / bait points are placed manually in the rodent infested area. Ideally the bait stations should be fixed to the ground. Do not open the sachets containing the bait. The product should never be placed accidentally.
Doses and frequency of application:
For attacks by mice use up to 50gr. bait per bait location. Install the bait positions every 5 meters, reducing the distance to 2 meters in areas with severe infestation.
For rat infestations use up to 90gr. bait (in sachets) or 100gr. bait (in container / tray) per bait location. Install the bait positions every 10 meters, reducing the distance to 5 meters in areas with severe infestation. Regularly inspect the bait sites (recommended every 3 or 4 days) and replenish the baits that have been eaten by rodents or damaged by water or soiled. Avoid using them in areas where there are signs of growth.
To control the spread of resistance, it is recommended to alternate the baits using different anticoagulants.
Instructions for use:
Wash hands and exposed parts of the body before each meal and after application. For use only in areas where infants, children, pets and non-target animals are not accessible. Avoid access to bait by children, birds and non-target animals (especially dogs, cats, pigs and poultry).
Care must be taken when placing baits to minimize the risk of being swallowed by other animals or children. Where possible, baits should be secured in such a way that they cannot be removed. Unless supervised by a professional user, anticoagulants should not be used as permanent baits. In most cases, the anticoagulant bait should be able to control the rodents within 35 days.
Search for and remove dead rodents at regular intervals during application, at least each time you check and / or replenish bait. Daily monitoring may be required in some cases. Dispose of dead rodents in accordance with local regulations.
